Right now, buyers have a bit more breathing room, with median home prices settling around $443,611 and interest rates at 6.75%. It’s not uncommon to see price cuts or sellers offering concessions these days. While prices haven’t returned to the highs of the COVID boom, they’re still 46% above 2020 levels. Much of the current housing shortage comes from slow government approvals.
